This newsletter is published by the Jayhawk Chapter of Kansas, Military Officers Association of America, as a service to all members.  The Jayhawk emblem is used with the permission of the registered trademark owner, the University of Kansas.  Publication is made at bimonthly intervals.  The newsletter is only as good as the material available, so each member is requested to forward news and other items of interest to the editor or one of the service editors.

May Speaker:
Dick Trupp, Wing Commander of the Combat Air Museum in Topeka

He will tell us how the museum came about, its mission and relate stories about the acquisition and renovation of the military aircraft on display.

 President's Corner

by Stanley Sneegas

One of the strengths of the Military Officers Association of America is the strong support for federal legislation that benefits current and former military personnel. The national headquarters does a good job of tracking legislation and letting its members know when they should make their voices heard. I would like to know if any of our chapter members know of legislation that effects us locally that the chapter should support. If you know of any legislation, please let a chapter officer know so that we can do something about it.

The month of May gives us at least two opportunities to honor those we care about. May 11 is Mother's Day and May 26 is Memorial Day. Let us respect those we respect and care about.

Come and enjoy another great speaker at May's meeting at the LCC. Have a great month!

Regards,
